The Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, was the first hospital in the country to be accredited by the Joint Commission International, USA, while Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, became the first hospital in South India to achieve this unique and coveted accreditation - the international gold standard for hospitals. As on date, six Apollo Hospitals are accredited by the Joint Commission International. With over 9000 beds in 43 hospitals, a string of nursing and hospital management colleges and dual lifelines of pharmacies and diagnostic clinics providing a safety net across Asia, Apollo Hospitals is a healthcare powerhouse. Apollo Hospitals unites exceptional clinical success rates and superior technology with centuries-old traditions of Eastern care and warmth. Apollo has served 18 million patients and 70,000 Foreign Patients from 55 countries in the last five years. Apollo Hospitals presently employs 7000 Doctors spanning 55 clinical departments in patient care. Of these doctors, 70% are trained or have practiced in USA or UK.

Apollo Clinics

Apollo Hospitals introduced the concept of The Apollo Clinic to ensure that quality healthcare is available to more people and in more regions than has ever been attempted before. Through its subsidiary - Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited - the Group has embarked on a strategic initiative to establish a network of 250 Apollo Clinics in India and overseas. Today, there are 70 Apollo Clinics already operational and over 80 franchises have been awarded in different parts of India and overseas.

Apollo Pharmacies

Apollo Pharmacy, a division of Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd., is India’s first and largest branded pharmacy network, with over 800 outlets in key locations providing 24X7 Customer Care Service to its clients.

Healthcare Consultancy, Projects and Management

The consultancy division of Apollo offers Project and Operations Management Consultancy services to clients varying from managing multi-specialty hospitals to commissioning of a wide range of healthcare models.

Hospital Information Systems

Apollo Health Street (AHS) is an end-to-end healthcare-focused services company, with impeccable credentials, proven track record and unwavering commitment aimed at delivering value added services to its clients. AHS offers Business Process Outsourcing services to US healthcare providers and payers. It aims to help healthcare providers and payers worldwide, save time and money, by remotely executing their non-core health information management activities such as medical transcription, coding, revenue cycle management and claims processing.

Telemedicine and E-Health

Apollo Hospitals Group is a pioneer in the field of Telemedicine in India and is credited with being the first to set up a Rural Telemedicine Centre. Apollo Hospitals gives a lot of significance to training and education. Health Insurance

Apollo Hospitals Group has joined hands with DKV, a world leader in the field of health insurance in a joint venture to make good the conviction of both the partners that Indian health insurance market is on the brink of explosive growth. The relationship intends to constantly introduce innovative health insurance and wellness solutions that meet customer needs. Our product philosophy emphasizes the incorporation of wellness and prevention components into health insurance with the goal of moving the current market, which is largely addressing “curative” needs, to a “preventive” focus.

Third Party Insurance Administration

Initiated by Apollo Hospitals, Family Health Plan Limited (FHPL) is a Third Party Administrator in the field of Health Insurance duly licensed by Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India. As a TPA, FHPL acts as nodal agency between the Insurance companies, Insured member and the Hospitals (provider of services) for rending the right service, at right time, to the right person, at a right price.

Clinical Trials
Spectra Clinical Research Centre (SCRC) is responsible for the conducting of clinical trials and research for Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited. The aim is to maintain professionalism, integrity and responsiveness in the clinical research process.

SPECTRA’S activities support pharmaceutical companies’ efforts to bring drugs to market or registration. They encompass the site monitoring, co-ordination and facilitation of clinical drug trials. SCRC currently handles registry/database-30, 80% gold multicentric, trials. Of these 15 trails are in phase II, 109 in phase III trials and 33 in phase IV trails working towards FDA and European Union registration. SCRC also provides consultancy services for the implementation of Good Clinical Practice (GCP-ICH) guidelines of the FDA and WHO.
